ETTY ZIMMERMAN

Etty Zimmerman Profile Etty Zimmerman-Martakoesoemah is originally from Bandung (West Java, Indonesia). I have spent thirty four years living in Holland and Melbourne, studying interior design in Holland and botanical drawing/oil painting/water color at Chisholm Institute. I combine design with my love of painting.

Like most artists I am inspired by my surrounding and life experiences. The combination of interior design and fine arts enables me to take a holistic approach blending together color and various interior materials to create unusual and elegant living spaces.

Over the past 12 years I have been commissioned to carry out interior design work, including my painting for condominiums in Jakarta and Ubud, Bali.

I have been a member of the Peninsula Arts Society for several years, and also the Gallery 247.

Various crafts have been applied throughout my artistic journey, including detailed window lead lighting, Tiffany lampshades, paper tole three dimension, and jewellery design. Some of my paintings are held in a private collections throughout The Netherlands, Indonesia, and Australia.

Assisted by jewellery artist & workmanship friends, I make organic, simple and elegant jewellery designs for my personal use & collections. Most of the time I wear them wherever I go.

Many of my friends & the people I met noticed and gave compliments on the jewelleries I wore. They wondered how and where I bought them from. So then I decided to share my jewellery collections and continue to create new unique designs and made them available for everyone to view and purchase.
